Sulle Alpi Francesi, durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, il piccolo orfano Sebastien trova l'amicizia di Belle, una grande femmina di cane dei Pirenei, che abita nei boschi attorno al paese e che dovrà difendere da chi la ritiene feroce e pericolosa predatrice. Belle e Sebastien riusciranno infine a dimostrare tutto il loro valore, portando in salvo al di là delle montagne, una famiglia di fuggitivi ebrei, inseguiti dai militari tedeschi.

In the French Alps during the Second World War, the little orphan Sebastien meets the friendship of Belle, a great female Pyrenees dog, who lives in the woods around the country and he will have to defend her from those who believe she's a ferocious and dangerous predator. Belle and Sebastien will finally be able to show their value, leading to safety beyond the mountains, a family of Jewish fugitives, pursued by the German military.
